Meanwhile, scores of community wireless experts continue to organize and build wireless telecommunications infrastructure in Hurricane Katrina & Rita disaster areas — you can make a donation to the effort here. Finally, Free Press released a fantastic interactive map of Community Internet projects throughout the United States earlier this week — allowing anyone to find information on hundreds of innovative projects.

Congratulations on the great success of the conference!

Consensus continues to build around the understanding of the emerging role of communities in the planning and development of broadband infrastructure.

Amid the turmoil of sorting out revised federal and state policy, the greatest need for new policy is at the local community level.

Every community owes itself and its members a formal, comprehensive strategy to promote local broadband development.

Your conference has helped move us toward that goal. Well done! Keep it up!
