Rome, Georgia issues RFP for wireless support services

The City of Rome, Georgia has issued an RFP seeking vendors who can deliver support services for the WirelessRome network. WirelessRome provides free wireless Internet service to the public in downtown Rome, Georgia. WirelessRome provides free wireless Internet service to the public in downtown Rome, Georgia. The proposal asks for a vendor who can:
- design and sell advertisements seen by WirelessRome users while logged onto the network; and
- develop promotional channels for marketing the WirelessRome brand.
Vendors may optionally propose:
- Community web portal design/management/hosting services for the
WirelessRome.net website; and/or - Wireless network design, deployment, and management services to include growing WirelessRome beyond the downtown coverage area.
