The goal is to promote business travel to the province.
According to Richard Murray, executive director of policy and planning for the government’s Information Technology Office, the plan also received a push recently from a youth summit held in Saskatoon where the young people lobbied for free Wi-Fi. One of the province’s priorities is to attract and retain young talent.
According to ITBusiness.Ca, the government will deploy 250 access points or about one AP per block. Click here for the ITBusiness.Ca story.
