Policy-based routing enables network administrators to set policies that allow public safety officers to use both 2.4 GHz and 4.9 GHz clients.

The three new MetroMesh routers include two dual-band, 2.4 GHz and 4.9 GHz band routers, one for outdoor public safety applications and the other for mobile public safety applications, as well as a single-band 4.9 GHz mobile public safety router.

According to a company press release, the new family of products extends features in Tropos’ MetroMesh architecture to the 4.9 band, including “efficient spectrum utilization, fault tolerant operation, reliable connectivity to a wide range of clients, and unprecedented visibility into mesh coverage, throughput and usage patterns.”

Not sure what they mean by Dual Band Radios. Sounds like Spin.
Is this the same old Tropos Single 2.4Ghz radio still used for both backhaul and Access and introducing a 4.9Ghz Radio that Public Safety folks can use (share)for both Access and Backhaul??

Still the same concept in a another package.
