Texas partnership streamlines mesh technology procurement process

RedMoon Broadband, SkyPilot Networks, and TESSCO, have entered a strategic partnership that uses the Texas DIR (Department of Information Resources) Go DIRect program to provide discount pricing and simplify of mesh network technology by state agencies, cities, counties, public school districts, and universities.
According to a company press release, RedMoon has created a starter kit including SkyPilot mesh nodes, video surveillance cameras and support, to help cities “get up-and-running quickly‚Äö?Ѭ? conveniently bundling all that’s required to build a secure 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and 4.9 GHz Public Safety HotZone.”

RedMoon designs, builds, and maintains wireless mesh networks for Texas cities and public educational institutions. The company is presently working with Chevron Energy Solutions and the city of Burleson, Texas, in the build-out of a 23-square mile network to automate water metering, track consumption, curb water loss and increase revenues. TESSCO is a SkyPilot supplier.
