The high speed broadband market in Europe is really heating up with prices going down and bandwidth up. The latest offering in Paris: 50 Mbps symmetrical (fiber) service for 30 EUR per month. Neuf is competing with Iliad/Free’s FTTH service by offering 30 EUR per month service in Paris that includes 50 Mbps symmetrical access, telephony (unlimited calls locally and to 30 countries), TV channels, and video on demand.
It’s hard for France Telecom to compete with this offer and indeed this kind of pricing sets the tone in other countries. It’s getting to be like the prices and speeds in Asia!
