Lompoc, California’s “city of arts and flowers,” will offer its citizens a subscription-based wireless broadband network designed to grow as usage grows.Lompoc, Calif., will offer its citizens a subscription-based wireless broadband network designed to grow as usage grows. The city, which is 155 miles north of Los Angeles, will outsource ongoing monitoring and support of the network to Siemens HiPath Managed Services under a three-year contract.
The company will support the network from remote NOCs in Hoffman Estates, Ill., and Irving, Texas.
