Houston City Council to consider EarthLink contract

Houston’s City Council will consider city’s deal with EarthLink this week. Under the terms of the agreement, EarthLink will build out a citywide Wi-Fi network that will cover 640 square miles. Wireless Racine County (Wisconsin) announces the creation of a Broadband Solution Provider Consortium (BSPC) consisting initially of E-Vergent Wireless.com LLC, of Mount Pleasant, WI. and Midwest Fiber Networks LLC, of Milwaukee, WI.Wireless Racine County, Wisconsin is creating a Broadband Solution Provider Consortium for entities that want to deliver services to the community. Mexico City goes Wi-Fi

Mexico City will soon be unwired, thanks to ZTE, a Chinese company. It will be a challenge to deliver good Wi-Fi service to a city of this size. Mexico City will soon be unwired, thanks to ZTE, a Chinese company. The network will deliver free Wi-Fi access to the city’s 8 million residents.
