Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, deploys WiMAX

The city of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia has gone live with the first stage of a city-wide WiMAX deployment.The city of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia has gone live with the first stage of a city-wide WiMAX deployment.

The service, now available on a downtown street, is part of the “SmartCity” program, sponsored by Intel Corporation, the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) and the Riyadh Development Authority.
