Mississippi to deploy state-wide 700 Mhz emergency network

This week, Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour signed a contract with Motorola for the Mississippi Wireless Information Network (MSWIN). The network will use the 700 MHz public safety band. To insure the state is covered for this hurricane season, now underway, the company has shipped three Sites on Wheels (SOWS), designed for rapid deployment, to Mississippi.
