Long Beach, Ca., expands 4.9 GHz city surveillance network

The city of Long Beach, Cal,. using a Homeland Security grant, is expanding its 4.9 GHz wireless video surveillance network to cover its sports arena, convention center, trade center, and other key high-traffic locations.The city of Long Beach, Cal,. using a Homeland Security grant, is expanding its 4.9 GHz wireless video surveillance network to cover its sports arena, convention center, trade center, and other key high-traffic locations. Long Beach, with 500,000 people, is California’s fifth largest city.

The city selected Wi4Net, a division of CelPlan Technologies, Inc. and providers of integrated wireless broadband and video solutions to expand the city’s existing video surveillance network with 12 new wireless cameras.
