Product/Solutions Overview
The Cisco Outdoor Wireless Solutions use wireless mesh technology, wireless bridging and mobile networks to allow government, public safety, and transportation organization to build cost-effective outdoor wireless networks for private or public use. These technologies are designed to provide secure, high-bandwidth, and scalable solutions to enable access to fixed and mobile applications across metropolitan areas.
The Cisco ServiceMesh, an Outdoor Wireless Solution for Service Providers, adds a fully integrated backend network, allowing service providers to efficiently deploy and operate the access network while reducing the total cost of ownership. Cisco ServiceMesh dynamically identifies and manages network subscribers so that multiple customer groups can benefit from the outdoor wireless network without compromising security or performance. Public safety employees can be provided high priority, secure access from the same network that allows tourists to find a local restaurant. Designing portal pages, setting up payment platforms, logging subscribers’ details, controlling service levels per subscriber, and enforcing agreements—all backend functions are integrated into Cisco ServiceMesh.
