Madison, Wisc., will soon be unwired for a new WiMAX service offering secure digital phone and high-speed Internet access.
TDS Telecommunications Corp., the provider that will host the service, is holding a press conference with its strategic partner, Alvarion LTD, at the TDS heaquarters in Madison. The event will include briefings on WiMAX technology and details about Madison’s new service.
According to an announcement of the press conference, TDS has invested “millions of dollars and years of development time constructing the wireless Internet service.”
