It's all about the users, isn't it? What kind of experience does a user have? I have been so frustrated in airport and cafe Wi-Fi hotspots by cumbersome sign-up procedures, credit card screens that don't work, etc. The providers in charge of these networks are not always small startups; rather, they are large well-known, publicly traded telecom companies. But they don't care about their users. One has to wonder if their employees ever use these networks.

They should shut this down. Look at the comments regarding network performance: http://www.wirelessphiladelphia.org/blog_detail.cfm/blog/37

It is simply pathetic! For Wireless Philadelphia and anyone else that has been involved in this project to even speak of this project as a successful example of how municipal wireless should be done is misleading at best and deceitful at worst.
