Event: Mashup Camp Silicon Valley November 17-19

Mashup Camp is taking place this year on November 17-19 at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California. It’s the third year that this event is taking place. I am planning to attend a couple of days. Mashups have become very popular among developers and users because they draw from a variety of sources, e.g. Google maps, location-based data, social networks, and content from various websites.

One of the suggested topics for the event is:

Mobility Effect on Mashups

Location-based mashup applications offer immense possibilities. However, when you are developing for mobile devices, what do you do about fragmentation of mobile platforms? In this discussion, we will explore the challenges of making your mashup mobile ready, including location, offline, responsiveness, and interactivity. We will bring together mobile Web developers to share their experiences using Web technologies and distribution techniques as well as mashup developers that have gone mobile.
