Reminder: join our MuniWireless / Muni WiMAX group on Linked In. I started the group this week and we have more than 120 members! Many are people I’ve known for years, others are new faces. Our members include people who work in government (muni, state and federal), analyst/research firms, equipment vendors, wireless service providers, media companies (e.g. newspapers and magazines), community activist organizations, non-profits, consulting firms, and more.
The purpose of the group is networking and discussions. It’s especially important right now with so many changes going on — in the economy, politics, government budgets, corporate spending — to network heavily and exchange ideas. I post many of my ideas on the group, not on Muniwireless.
Make sure you contribute to the News and Discussions section of the group, especially if you have a webinar to promote. I’ve become a big fan of webinars because traveling is too expensive and time-consuming, and it’s not very “green”.
