Sidecut WiMAX Market Report, now updated for 2009

If you are interested in the wireless broadband technology known as WiMax but in need of some deep-dive information on what it’s all about, I am pleased to announce that our WiMax Market Report has just undergone a thorough edit and updating, and is ready for 2009 with the latest and greatest US WiMax market analysis available.

The updated market report includes analysis and reporting on all the most-recent activities in the US WiMax market, including the late 2008 closing of the Clearwire/Sprint merger, and the January 2009 launch of Clearwire services in Portland, Oregon.

If you want all the marketing details behind the report you can read all that here, but let me add that this isn’t just a new “2009? cover slapped on last year’s report. While we did keep the historical and technical backgrounders intact, all the rest of the material — now 34 pages, after editing — was carefully combed, picked apart and put back together to reflect not only the changes in the WiMax market and the Clearwire saga, but to include additional insight as to how the economic downturn will affect WiMax rollouts in the U.S.

(We even include analysis about the recent big accounting write-downs that Google, Intel and Time Warner Cable took when their investments in Clearwire dropped in value due to Clearwire’s stock price decline; and we also include explanations why those investments are still worthwhile, especially to companies like Google that may have reasons beyond pure income for helping Clearwire succeed.)

Again, you will be hard-pressed to find more timely analysis of the WiMax market anywhere else; take our word for it, since we spend a lot of time looking at the competition and feel confident that we’ve hit our goal of delivering deeper, more thorough info than you can find in blogs, at a speed much faster than other analyst or research operations.

And for Ginsu-knife fans we also have a deal: If you want to REALLY stay on top of the WiMax market you can subscribe to our WiMax Focus research service, which has started off 2009 with even more in-depth info on Clearwire and where it’s headed, including some analysis of their current public offerings, a Q&A with Clearwire CTO Scott Richardson, and a look at what markets Clearwire might launch in next and why. The infomercial part of the announcement is if you subscribe to the WiMax Focus service you get the WiMax Market Report thrown in free, a $299.95 value. That’s a lot of WiMax value! Order now, operators are standing
by!
