Moovera makes muni and public transport Wi-Fi a lot easier

Today I spoke to Jim Baker, founder of Moovera, a UK company that makes outdoor and in-vehicle Wi-Fi access points for metro, campus and public transport deployments. Moovera’s APs bring Wi-Fi connectivity to end user devices and use 3G/UMTS, WiMAX and TD-CDMA for the backhaul. Caltrain Wi-Fi project delays: what is the model for Wi-Fi on public transport?

Caltrain rejected two bids for its project to deploy Wi-Fi connectivity on trains between San Francisco and San Jose, according to the San Mateo Daily Journal. Caltrain says one bid was too expensive and the other too restrictive.
