Hong Kong rolls out free Wi-Fi service

Hong Kong will be providing free Wi-Fi service in 2000 hotspots serving 350 government buildings, sports and recreational centers, and three public parks. The local government is working with telecommunications provider, PCCW and equipment provider, Aruba Networks, to offer the service to residents and visitors. The project is called GovWiFi and will take five years to complete. At present, more than thirty government facilities have been unwired; the rest will be finished before the middle of 2009.
