Indiana cities pursue Wi-Fi

Franklin, In,. a suburb of Indianapolis, may get a city-wide network, courtesy of Internet Communications, a local provider. The company has begun deploying Wi-Fi service in hot spots around the city and plans to expand it if customer demand justifies it.
Other nearby cities, Elkhart and Tampa, are using local funds to offer service to residents. Elkhart city council recently agreed to spend $25,000 to deploy service along the city’s Riverwalk.
