Say goodbye to NYC Wi-Fi in the parks

WiFi Salon has announced that it is shutting down Wi-Fi service in several parks, including Central Park, because it has not found financing to continue operating the network. WiFI Salon won a contract from the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation in 2004 to wire 10 parks in four boroughs.
