Truth in broadband: UK regulator wants ISPs to reveal actual broadband speeds

Ofcom, the telecoms regulator in the United Kingdom, has published a new Code of Practice that will pressure Internet service providers (ISPs) to offer greater clarity over broadband speeds. Ofcom eases power regulations for wireless broadband operators

Ofcom, the UK telecoms regulator, will allow wireless broadband operators to increase power levels for wireless nodes operating in the 5.8 GHz band. While the rule applies to all operators in the UK, it will have a more significant impact on rural wireless broadband networks.
