Boston commuters get Wi-Fi aboard train
Suburban Boston commuters will soon have Wi-Fi Internet access. A 45-mile commuter train line from Worcester to Boston, Mass.,will offer the service aboard at least one car per train. Forty-five cars are being set up for service in this pilot project.
The service will use fixed Wi-Fi antennas mounted in the cars to provide connectivity to commuters with Sprint’s EVDO cellular service to maintain the Internet connection.
