Gas station Wi-Fi makes so much sense

British Petroleum (BP) will be offering free Wi-Fi at their petrol stations in the US. What’s news to me isn’t that they WILL BE offering Wi-Fi but that they haven’t already. Aren’t most US petrol stations already equipped with Wi-Fi? In the Netherlands I have often stopped at a BP station, tanked up and checked my email. It’s very convenient. I’ve noticed also a lot of people in the parking lot doing the same. Not only that, they even stick around in the store, having a snack or coffee, checking email. The only difference now between US and European petrol stations now will be the price of filling up your car — it’s still very expensive in Europe (about $80 to fill up a BMW 320i).
